Our daughter was recently married in Burma and we intended holding a marriage celebration for them here at our home in the UK this May. However the British Government have refused to grant her Burmese husband a UK tourist visa, and so the event has now had to be cancelled - we didn’t want a cardboard cut-out of the bridegroom!
