WEDDING BELLS

BALDWIN— PERRETT

A pretty wedding was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Dorrigo, on the 21st June, 1947, the service being conducted by Rev. Father Daley, when Esma Annie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Perrett, Dorrigo, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony, at Nupital Mass, to Thomas Patrick Baldwin, second son of Mr.and Mrs. J. S. Baldwin, Fernbrook Road, Dorrigo.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a lovely gown of ivory angelskin lace, which was tailored on classical lines with short train. Her embroidered net veil was held in place with a coronet of white camellias and she carried a shower bouquet of white gardenias, carnations and rose buds. The bridesmaid, Miss Teresa Baldwin, cousin of the bridegroom, looked charming in a pale green brocaded silk frock, trimmed with pale green allover silk lace and wearing a large picture hat of same material, trimmed with pale pink camellias. Her bouquet consisted of pink camellias and asparagus fern tied with pale green net. Pam Wickham was a sweet little flower girl in her long gold taffeta frock and headdress and carrying a basket of yellow johnquills on her arm.

Mr. Jack Baldwin attended his brother as bestman. The church was beautifully decorated by the Sisters of the Presentation Convent, who also supplied suitable music. The choir consisting of senior girl pupils of the Convent sang sweetly. After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained over 100 guests at a reception held in the Memorial Hall. Mrs. Perrett was attired in saxe blue wool frock trimmed with crystal bead and a shoulder spray of red camellias and navy accessories. Mrs. Baldwin wore a brown pencil striped frock and brown accessories and a shoulder spray of Autumn tones. After the breakfast the happy couple left by car on their honeymoon which was spent at Brisbane, Toowoomba and Lismore. The bride' travelled in a mauve-pink wool frock embroidered with black beads and sequins and black accessories. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin will be at Fernbrook. flower girl wears in red
